Twitter Just Refreshed Its Look and You’ll be OK

thumbnail

Twitter looks different today, you may have noticed. People are freaking out a bit because some things are now round and the buttons have different icons. And look, this wouldn’t be Twitter if people didn’t have obnoxiously volcanic takes on Twitter changes, so just roll with it and ignore them. The new look has actually been in the Android beta for a good week or so. We’ve been using it, getting used to it, and not throwing tantrums about its freshness. I kind of like it, ...

Nova Launcher Gains Google Now Side Panel

thumbnail

Nova Launcher, the launcher that we’ve been followers of for years and have yet to find reason to switch off of, gained a feature that the purist of pure Android elitists have been begging for – Google Now panel access. This would be the left-situated Now panel from the Google Now or Pixel Launchers that we wish 3rd party launchers had full access to. The addition is and isn’t pretty, though, and does involve an .apk sideload since the app add-on that powers this integration isn’t ...

Google Appears to be Testing a Transparent Google Now Panel

thumbnail

According to a single user on reddit (Edit: and now a bunch of our readers), Google is testing some sort of transparent UI to the Google Now panel. It’s, umm, an interesting look that I’m not sure I’d like to stare at each day, but it’s certainly different.  The redditor claims to not be rooted and running clean Android 7.1.2 on a Pixel XL with the May security patch. He has a stock phone, from what we can tell. The UI itself (seen above and below) is ...

Instead, it simply hides it, while still preserving the “Like” count and comments. To archive media, select a photo or video, then press on the three dot button. The top option ...

Right in time for the weekend, Noodlecake is hosting a sale on a number of its title on Google Play, a few of which I can confirm are pretty awesome.  There are six titles in total, one of which is a new release.
