Hugo Boss reveals its first Android Wear watch, the Touch

thumbnail

So it turns out that there's this big watch convention thing going on in Switzerland (hint: we didn't go), where a lot of smartwatches have debuted. Baselworld 2017 has been a hub of timepiece activity, with us seeing plenty of new entrants into the Android Wear fold. One of these is Hugo Boss with the Touch. At first glance, the Touch looks pretty traditional. Most of the new Wear devices announced lately have been too sporty for my taste, but I like the look of this ...

Watchmaker Movado announces the Connect, coming this fall for $495

thumbnail

The minimalist American watchmaker Movado announced a few weeks ago it was going to release an Android Wear watch, but it neglected to offer up any pictures of the device. Now it's officially unveiled. The Movado Connect looks exactly how you'd expect a smartwatch from Movado to look. The announcement was made at Baseworld 2017, but there aren't a lot of details right now. It has an edge-to-edge crystal face with an always-on display (that could mean AMOLED). Samsung shows off some wacky new concept versions of the Gear S3 at watch conference

thumbnail

The Gear S3 is Samsung's latest Tizen-based smartwatch, which comes in two variants. The Frontier is more "rugged" and has LTE, and the Classic has a slightly sleeker frame and no LTE. The Gear S3 family has grown today, at least in theory. Samsung is on hand at Baselworld, a watch conference in Basel, Switzerland. It's showing off three new concept versions of the Gear S3, one of which is literally a pocket watch. Read MoreSamsung shows off some wacky new concept versions of the Gear S3 at ...

Michael Kors announces the new members of the Access line, Grayson and Sofie, both will start at $350

thumbnail

In continuing with the cavalcade of smartwatch announcements, Michael Kors has unveiled two new Android Wear offerings in its Access line. Both the Grayson and Sofie are the next step in the luxury brand's attempts at blending design, personal style, and technology. The Grayson looks more like a traditional men's watch and is marketed as such. According to Michael Kors, it is meant to "complement the 24/7 lifestyle of the modern man." Honestly, I can't say that I'd want to wear this watch to the gym ...

Diesel announces the On, its first Android Wear smartwatch, will start at $325

thumbnail

The Fossil Group has just announced a ton of new Android Wear-based smartwatches at the Baselworld 2017 watch show, and the Diesel On is one of them. Although Diesel has made hybrid watches before, the On is Diesel's first Android Wear device. It's a pretty unique-looking one, too. Unfortunately, the press release is incredibly hollow, with little information, only one image, and nonsensical phrases. It's so bad that it's actually kinda hilarious. Read MoreDiesel announces the On, its first Android Wear smartwatch, will start at $325 ...

Samsung is adding an LTE Gear S3 Classic to its smartwatch lineup

thumbnail

The Gear S3 Classic is probably one of my favorite smartwatches to date. The styling is great, Tizen isn't half-bad, and the rotating bezel is awesome. The only bummer for some was that Classic did not share the LTE connectivity option with its brother, the Frontier. Samsung has decided to rectify that, having just announced that the Classic will have an LTE-enabled version. It will work on AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile and will support one-number solutions (so that your phone number remains the same) for all ...

It’s a day before Super Mario Run is supposed to be available for Android devices, so just in case it’s an error, go grab it now! Play Link  Update: We have officially taken the game for a spin! From what we now know, the full game costs $9.99, but does come with more Gold coins, a bit of multiplayer gameplay, and more. And yes, I still think Super Mario Run is like Temple Run. Huawei Watch 2 review: Why?

thumbnail

In the world of technology, it's rare that a successor product is actually worse than the one that preceded it. Today is a rare day. The Huawei Watch 2 is a step backward - multiple steps, even - from the original, even if it does claw back some of that lost ground with new features. The Huawei Watch 2 adds NFC, GPS, LTE, and Android Wear 2.0 to its repertoire, which all sounds well and good. Read MoreHuawei Watch 2 review: Why? was written by the awesome ...
