This morning, Google employee Steven Le posted a photo of the Android statue outside his office, which looked a bit stranger than usual:

While the statue’s makeover was mysterious at first glance, a press release and accompanying video from Zynga soon clarified the situtation:

ZombieSmash!, powered by Zynga’s proprietary and extremely bloody SplatterEngine, includes more than 30 upgrades and “special weapons” (i.e. asteroids, wrecking balls and liquid nitrogen). Additionally, the game comes with four different game modes; here’s Zynga’s description of them:

Campaign Mode: Challenges players to survive for over 31 intense days against the mounting zombie threat and another 30 nights in the Camp Nowhere campaign
Endless Siege Mode: Confronts players with a never-ending zombie assault – hold out as long as possible, racking up an ever-rising body count
Sandbox Mode: Gives players all the tools to rain destruction down on those stinking, moaning zombies without any of the peril
Bonus Nights: Smash and destroy zombies in new ways. Unlock this special mode through extended gameplay and by using your braaains!

Again, ZombieSmash! will be available in Google Play later this week; for a “limited time,” it will cost $.99, and after that the price will be raised to $1.99. Completely out of the blue Samsung has officially outed its next generation system-on-a-chip (SoC). The Exynos 4 Quad is very much what it sounds like: an updated version of the previous dual-core Exynos chip with four cores instead of two. Each core will be clocked to 1.4GHz, much like the last generation, and it is still going to be based on ARM’s Cortex-A9 architecture.

Samsung would be moving to Cortex-A15 to more adequately compete with Snapdragon S4 and its Krait cores. Perhaps the 32nm manufacturing process, High-K Gate technology, dynamic voltage control, and advanced power management in the Exynos 4 Quad will make up for that.

Google’s cloud file hosting service has become available today, offering users 5GB of storage space for free! They also released their Android application which is just Google Docs updated so head over to the Google Play store and see if you have an update available.

DroidUPLOAD.com is finally back online after almost 7 day(s) of down time. We originally hosted the site through a host that does not support image hosting, file uploading/sharing sites so we were forced to move to a new host. All databases, files, member accounts have been restored!

DroidUPLOAD.com is a file sharing service for Android developers, Theme developers, ROM developers, Application developers – basically everything Android related. We noticed tons of developers files have been deleted from a few of the most popular file sharing sites such as (Megaupload, Multiupload, FileServer, FileSonic). We needed to create something where Android users could upload their own content, where their content is safe from being deleted on other file sharing sites that allow pirated files.

- Files must be Android related
- No PAID applications, games, themes, etc are allowed
- Creating mirrors for other sites are allowed, however you must get approval from the original developer to create a mirror.
- Maximum file size upload for non premium members is 250 MB
- File’s that are password protected will be deleted automatically since we cannot determine the contents of the packaged file.

We check files daily we will remove all content without warning if it violates our terms of service. If content is still uploaded that is not allowed we will ban you from our servers.
