I know the site has been buggy, laggy and kind of just all over the place. Tell you the truth I didn’t think DroidPirate would have become as large as it has. Getting almost over 3000+ unique visitors a day I couldn’t be more happier; the site has definitely became a hit.
Anyways all the content I have been adding; and trying to keep up to date with all the requests I get every day it gets harder each day to get everything published in a timely manor. I myself am the only person who updates, post and spend every day of my life searching for the latest Android modifications – I’m a one man team.
I have a ton of updates for the future but my main concern is getting the feel and all the pages up and running correctly. The tags section is still all out of whack I need to go through and clean up all of the tags and get the proper ones added. I also need to clean up the categories majorly so over the next couple days you should see a ton of site improvements. If there is anything you would like to see change that will help you get around the site a little quicker please comment let me know.
Lag/Speed- For everyone complaining and e-mailing non-stop about the speed of DroidPirate I know I am working on it. I just purchased http://www.droidpiratefiles.com strictly just to host all of the files and files only. It wasn’t cheap but I needed a fast server so everyone can get the content they are looking for.
Android News – I’m going to be getting away from posting Android news unless its really needed. There are several other Android News sites and I really do not want to be another one, linking the same pictures, media and news posts over and over, Gets annoying. Strictly Content.
Applications & Games – Well if you haven’t noticed we cleaned up our act a lot, we do not support piracy or downloading of developers hard work for their paid applications; there’s also several other websites where you can already get the content but if you are a true Android lover you should know how important it is to get on-time up to date updates. However we will be posting Free applications and games only the ones that relate to Themeing, speed and other useful applications. Games – strictly HD and games that are actually worth playing.
Decals – Well the decals are now free and from now on Droidpirate will only be releasing free applications. I still have over 800 + to upload and get all of the coding created; such as (Babes, Characters, TV-Shows, Rap, Music, and Movies, etc). But right now I have other updates on my mind and will get to them shortly.
MetaMorphs – The MetaMorphs are going strong and I think its where half of the traffic comes from. Soon you won’t even need to download a theme for your device. We have almost every section of the Android framework covered but there’s still a majority not uploaded yet.
Wallpapers, BootAnimations, Ringtones – I have HUGE updates for the future to get everything up and running properly with a nice layout and easy to get to the content your looking for in a timely fashion. Wallpapers section is half up and running still so much more to be added. Boot Animations – I am going to be make sub-categories for each device such as (Droid 1, Droid X, Droid 2, Incredible, ViewSonic G-Tablet & Galaxy Tab). Basically a user will be able to chose which device they have and download the correct bootanimation display size for your device. Ringtones – Subcategories such as Ringtones, Alarms & Notifications as well as backups from each specific
ROMs (Nintendo, Sega, SNES) – Well now that we are paying for the hosting; we sure have to use it! I will be adding a complete ROM list for all the available platforms out as well as information about the best emulators & tutorials for each specific device.
I recently just purchased a bunch of docks, accessories as well as some awesome products and thought I should share it with everyone. First we have the Vizio 32″ HD-TV that makes everything happen without a monitor this big my desktop would have been filled up months ago – wait it already is. Next we have the Motorola Droid-X – which is my primary cell phone and device I use daily; Love it! In my opinion by far the best Android device. Next on the left is the OG Droid 1 – no mobile data plan strictly for WiFi usage only. In the center is the ViewSonic 10.1″ G-Tablet I actually love this device with the modifications and launcher installed it was well worth it. Acer NetBook, Compaq PC – everything modded but we will only stick to the Android devices. Oh yeah and you can see the iPod Touch ~ No Comment. Oh I almost forgot about the Dr Dre SOLO-HD headphones I just picked up them + Pandora = Fucking Awesome.
